“If you were born with the ability to change someone’s perspective or emotions, never waste that gift. It is one of the most powerful gifts God can give—the ability to influence."

About Me

Michaela Anger was born and lives in Barrie, Ontario. Her interest in music began in her pre-teens playing flute in her school concert band. She continued her studies for 7 years and through that found love in musical theatre. Her first show was Shrek the Musical at Innisdale Secondary School and from then she has never looked back. She went on to play other roles in high school and community theatre such as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast Jr and Rizzo in Grease. This was an amazing way to engage in theatre outside of a school setting and to introduce her to the theatre community around her. One of her most valuable community theatre experience was with Talk is Free Theatre in The Music Man. In this production, she played Zaneeta Shinn and had the valuable opportunity to work alongside Equity theatre members. This gave her amazing connections to working theatre actors such as Glynis Ranney, Michael Torontow, Justin Stadnyk, Glenn Coulson, Amir Haidar and Izad Etemadi, as well as directors Herbie Barn and Jennifer Stewart.
Once entering college to study musical theatre performance at St. Lawrence College she expanded her musical theatre vocal repertoire, honed her acting skills and advanced her dance abilities with the help of her professors including Janet Jackson, Chad Macnamara, Patrick Burwell, Erin Puttee and Mary Ellis.
She is currently finishing her final semester at St. Lawrence College before going on to study theatre in Ireland at IT Sligo.
